I've seen birds eat some pretty disgusting things. But I don't think I'd let them eat guts as the parasites might get transferred!

Since when were hearts tossed out? I have this recipe for heart that even DS's picky girlfriend loved. And tongue! This is stuff I grew up with - but mom said to be careful with liver and never would touch kidney - "too dirty".

Alot of parasites use other species as host. CWD is the big thing in deer now, like the mad cow disease.

Around here deer gut piles would be full of corn............
