To answer your post question, a chick is a pullet as long as it is a female. Now to go outside, wait till they are about 8 weeks old if your weather is cold cold. I kick mine out at 6 weeks and no heat. If their coop is draft free, they will be fine. Now if you have to integrate with adults, wait till they are about the same size or 16 weeks old, else you'll have some beat up chicks.
