I've never slaughtered anything before so any tips will be helpful.
How old should they be before slaughter anyway?
I feed then alot but s/he still seems pretty light?
s/he is 2 months old right now (to the day!)

how much does he weigh? you can even do something as simple as hold a can of beans (or whatever) at the same time and compare.

i think there is some good slaughter stuff on here if you look around. i think there is a thread that should still be pretty current.

the more excercise they get, the lighter they are. most people who do them just for meat, keep them penned. so, if they have been running around, you can probably still add some weight but it will not be the exact same. which is fine.

i said a prayer before my first time. i know that might be goofy, but it made it better. i hated that rooster, but didn't want to see it in pain.

Search through the section on meat birds and butchering. There's good links in there. Figure they are .75 of their live weight. My guess is your EE is going to weigh in at 2lbs table weight at 12 weeks. I'd go another month and get a 3 lb table bid. Depends though on their diet and strain.
