When Is the Best Time to Buy Hatching Eggs?

Hi! I'm slowly building my homemade incubator and want to hatch some of my own eggs. We will be gone alot in June so that is why I'm holding off on starting any eggs. I'm about to die with impatience but I know better!! So In July I will probably be ready, but will it be too hot for shipped eggs then?

When is the prime time to buy shipped eggs in the year? Are there certain breeds that stop laying certain times? I want BO, BA, maybe Silkies, Dorkings?

Can't you buy fertilized eggs locally? I bought fertilized eggs from 2 places for my 2 broodies: 5 Dominique eggs from one person in town, and then from another person in town I bought 6 eggs of either RIR's or Buff orp's. They are under the broodies right now.
