I have 9 out of 10 egg that have hatched. The last one hatched this morning in the wee hours. I have been checking them and I have noticed that some of them have their mouths open and look like they are panting? Should I take them out and get them some water? I would hate to loose some of them after doing all the work.
Thanks
Rebecca

It might be getting too hot in there for them. Do they look nice and fluffy now? You can take them out....I would if they are panting.

Yes nice and fluffy. The temp is only 100.9. I will get them out and eating and drinking! I am so excited to get to hold them and take some good pictures of them!

In the last egg the chick was dead. I looks like it was a little dry not overly dry just a little I dont know if that played a role in it not making it. It did not even go into the air cell. Fully formed. But all in all 9 out of 10 on my first hatch! I could not ask for more. I was just hoping that I would at least get 1 or 2 but 9 I am so happy for that! Ok they are in the brooder and I dipped their beaks in the water. They all seem to be more interested in the food then the water. I have only seen 1 get a drink so far. Should I dip the beaks again in about an hour or so?
Thanks
Rebecca
