When should Ameraucana develop muff and beard

I breed and show Ameraucanas. I've observed thickness of muff and beard seems to correlate most strongly with particular family lines, but individuals can vary. Also, some true (per APA Standards) Ameraucana parents carry recessive clean-face genes so some of their offspring end up not meeting requirements to be qualified as true Ameraucanas.
Links that amazondoc provided are excellent for explaining differences.

All the chickens that I got them from are in seperate coops, Ameraucanas are seperate from the Dominiques, ect.

All his hens and his rooster have BEAUTIFUL muffs and beards. I paid 15 for this beard, so I REALLY hope it's like full blooded. Mined is the coloring of the 2nd pic on first page, i think, hard to remember lol, all I know is her hood is darker than rest.
