I am in the FFA, thinking of raising Barred Rocks as meat birds. I am wondering at how many week are the Barred Rocks prime for eating?

You are probably looking at atleast 20-22 weeks to get a Barred Rock to an acceptable eating size. If you are ok with franken birds get Cornish X's which can be done in as little as 5-6 weeks. A better alternative might be to get a hybrid bird like Red Ranger Broiler which take a little longer but don't have all the health problems like a Cornish X.I am in the FFA, thinking of raising Barred Rocks as meat birds.
