My chicks have just turned 16 weeks old and are doing very well. (that's them in my profile picture)
When should i start with layers pellets? Are growers required? Several of the hens seem very mature and crouch. Is this a sign that they'll be laying soon?
I'd appreciate some advice!

Mine are 18 weeks now. I was given advice by members on here not to change to layer feed until all of them actually start laying. Until then, give grower or even starter/grower and offer oyster shell on the side. The ones that need the extra calcium will take the oyster shell, and the others won't get too much calcium. If you feed layer, they all get the calcium, whether they need it or not. I started offering oyster shell last week, and they all are eating it right now, which others have told me is normal since it is a novelty.
It is exciting when they are getting close to laying! I am eagerly awaiting the first egg.
