When should I ask for gender help

I have two silkie chicks about 10 weeks old. At what age would I be able to tell what sex they are?

It’s very hard to sex silkies. It’s best wait till they are sexually mature. Then you’ll know for sure who’s male and who’s female.

i had once found a post here at byc that showed silkies at different weeks to help sex...but it is really difficult to sex them, even for the pros. you can post a pic and everyone can play the fun game of guess the sex. post a picture of their head and neck. some people can tell-not me. good luck. Post pics of their combs, crest, and saddle at 12 weeks. I will try to tell you then, but if there are some that I'm iffy on, you will have to wait a bit longer. But, most birds i can tell at 12 weeks.

Not a very big comb at all. As of right now, I believe you have a pullet.
