When should I be concerned about finding bones on my property?

Might be worth keeping them and kinda watching to see if there are more of the same type. I'm a bit relieved to see they are not dogs or cats. I was afraid it was going to be from some sort of dog hoarder or animal abuser.
Or someone that just had a pet die?

Obviously I wasn't talking about a few pets. I had just said that I was concerned about a lot of dogs and cats dead. As a physicain, I'm educated enough to assess a situation. It's easy to see on skulls, the condition of the teeth. If more than a few dog skulls are found with young teeth, I would ask questions. Animal abuse usually precedes or goes hand in hand with sadistic behavior to humans. That's why animal cruelty is now a Federal Crime, and sometimes we need to ask questions. Our questions can end up saving human lives.

I'm educated just enough to be an ass in a situation.
That's not as good, is it?

So, suburb guy turned living a bit in the country. Bought this house around 6 months ago and the property was suffering some neglect (massively overgrown grassy fields, overgrown gardens, ect). Been clearing land to make it both useful to myself and easier on the eyes and I keep finding bones of various shapes and sizes in just random places.

Some examples:
Some flat long bone near the washout to the north of the house
Some ~2 sq inch bone flake in the front garden
Half a jawbone (with teeth) in the garage

It's worth noting that I do see the occasional wild animal make their way across my property, so very reasonable to suspect that these are animals that just got caught by some local predator.

Just... at what point do I get concerned and maybe call someone to ID these bones? Or is this one of those "just keep your head down, let nature be and carry something to defend yourself" sorta thing?
I wouldn't call anyone unless you find a human skull. Its the country. Animals get eaten and the earth works buried things (including bones) to the surface occassionally
