when should I give up?

when they are in egg I always sing them a song so when they hatch they know it is me. I sing " yeardaly birdalies, yeardly yeardly birdies, yeardly yeardly yearldalie birds." I still sing that to my big birds too.

TA DAH!!!!!!!!

There he is! "Mo" because of the mohawk (the three little spikes on his head) also I think it's a he because on the back of his leg are little white spots that look like future spurs. Or is that normal in all chicks?

I didn't sing them a song but I would "cheep cheep cheep" and they answer back. The other shell has it's crack and I hope will hatch soon!

He was hatched at 8:40am pacific time. Now I'm freaking out because he is lying there panting. Is that normal? And there is a little blood on his bum. Should I freak out? My husband is right I do worry too much.

Thanks everyone, I'm going to make a tiny quilt with some quilting material I have left over from my kids!

I will up date soon with (hopefully) the next chick.

Welcome little Mo!
