When should I hear peeps

My eggs are 17 days in incubator today and just wondering when I should start hearing peeps from the eggs? My 2 1/2 week olds are doing great and going outside by end of week. Hubby has made a 5 star brooder, will try to post pics. the 2 1/2 weeks were our first attempt at incubating and hatching. Didn't start to pay attention until they had actually pipped the shell.:|

You may not hear any peeps from the unpipped eggs. Sometimes you hear it...sometimes you don't. After they pip you should be able to hear them begin peeping.

I have one pipping now but didn't hear it peep until after it made the hole in the shell and membrane. Now it's peeping like crazy!!!

This is the night of day 20 for my 13 Silkie eggs and at least 2 or 3 are internally pipped and one of them is peeping

sure hope he or she does the real pip soon!
