when should i lock down the incubator

What day is best to lock down the incubator im on day 15 now and is it right that i stop turning the egg soon

silky chick i have only one chick out of 6 eggs so im praying it hatches ok im new to this incubating process my other chickens i had from a day old so wasnt as stressfull ,im slightly worried as i havent seen the chick move in the last 48 hours i hope this is normal

yes totally normal, they are getting ready to hatch. I'm on day 16.

should i stop candling the egg now do you think just leave it alone i will probaly stop getting worked ha ha ha

lockdown on day 18 and if you set the eggs after noon dont count that day but start from the next day if you set them before noon you can count that day.. this is just the way i do it so dont know if its right or wrong but it works for me
