When should I lockdown?

On Thursday last week 50 eggs left the seller, they got here on Saturday then set in an 80 degree room until late Sunday when I set them.. I candled Today and only have 13 glowers out of the remaining 46 (4 cracked). But I was wondering, on what day should they enter lockdown.. 12 from the setting day.. Or??

My last ones also spent 2 days in transit and hatched right at 16 days after setting.

Both batches are Jumbo Coturnix.

for coturnix I usually lockdown on day 14

Yeah, I know to lock down 4 days prior to the hatch. But I wasn't sure if I should count the day before I set them in the incubator.. Since they set in a warm room

it is kina hard to understand for most folks but 24 hours = 1 day there is no day 0 only the first day then the 2nd etc if you set the eggs on june 30 today would be lockdown. I fill out a incubation sheet on all my hatches it makes it easy as I check off the days.

I just print page 11 and it works well. I modify it slightly for quail HTH
