When should I separate the Roosters?

I got my chickens when they were around 3 months old. To my dismay, I ended up with two roosters instead of one. Now they’re(as far as I can tell.) almost 8 months old. I believe one might be a little older than the other, he seems to be the more dominant one of the two, but even though he’s in charge they’re starting to get into more and more little fights about “who spends more time with the hens.” so to speak. My neighbor has chickens as well, and he said when I was ready to get rid of one of them he’d take it. Now I was goning to keep the one who gave me less problems, (the neighbor wants the other for freezer camp.) considering they’re only 8 months old I figure they’re not old enough to tell which one is the more aggressive. So my question is, should I just get rid of one now instead of waiting? The non dominant rooster has already tried to charge me once, so he’s probably going in the long run anyhow.

Ditch the aggressive one.

More information to add. (Although I haven’t gotten rid of one yet, I’m definitely going to. I would just like help deciding the better rooster.) So this morning was full of upset roosters. I got up and let them out early, and as soon as I opened the little pop door I could tell they were upset. Both the roosters (I’ll refer to the larger, and for the most part dominate rooster as Rooster A.) were really tense. Rooster A was moving around a lot, not content to just eat with the hens. So apparently, rooster A had been trying to mount the hens in the hen house. Now as you’d expect, rooster B, who’s about the same age but less mature, doesn’t let him without a fight. Rooster A was being kinda aggressive in his attempts to do it despite rooster B. So much so that he was frightening the hens,(or perhaps the roosters fighting was.) This is the only thing I’ve noticed in him that’s bad behavior, he normally follows the “good rooster signs.” Until that one subject. Is he too aggressive in his attempts to be with the hens? Or do you think it’s because of the other rooster, and it will clear up after he’s gone?

Multiple males can definitely bring out the worst of all their behaviors.
Can you remove one to another area for a time?

I had a great cockerel, Woody, but once the other younger cockerels came of age, he got very aggressive with the pullets. When I removed the younger cockerels to crates, Woody calmed down immediately, I mean like within minutes, and went back to his good self.

I don’t have another coop, as I did get all of them at once. I do however, have a small dog cage I could put him in, if I could catch him. Which, idk about that. Lol Thank you for the reply! You seem to be one of the most knowledgeable people on here and I shall take your advice as soon as I can.
