Hi I have 8 12 week old EE's. They are GREAT flyers. One is always on the top of the chicken coop roof which is about 6 feet high, and I am concerned about our neighbors dogs. One has already gotten over there and I had to climb the fence and catch it. I'm only hesitating because I read that you shouldnt clip a young chickens wings. Any answers appreciated

Many people clip wings to keep the chickens from getting over fences, out of runs, etc. That seems to work. Others don't because it limits their flying abilities if there are predators around. If yours are getting where you don't want them and you are okay with their reduced mobility, sounds like you should be clipping anytime now. Good luck to you!

do you have a run attached to your coop. You could put a top on it, even just deer netting to keep the flyers inside.
