When should you candle eggs?

I candle mine on day 12 but this year I want to candle them on the 20th to see if there is movement. is that a good idea?

Its completely up to you.if it's chicken eggs they should on lock down on day20 so you'll have to be careful with humidity. I personally don't candle, just keep my nose open for foul smells. With over 200 eggs going at once candling can be tough lol.

I candle my quail eggs at lockdown. I toss all the clears and this allows more room for my chicks to hatch. This is the only time I candle.
