i'm a newbie. we hired an incubator, got three fertilised eggs, and ended up with 2 chicks. the kids and i have grown so fond of them we've decided to keep them. however we are only allowed to keep them in our neighbourhood if they are girls. my 7yo boy in particular and i are hoping like crazy that cheepy and kenny are both girls....
SO, here's my question: they are over 2.5 weeks now, so i appreciate it's really early. but today is the first i've been able to see any sign of a comb. i read that it starts out pink/red on roos, and yellow with hens. is that true? both are yellow at this stage....
