when the rooster have sex with a hen how many days do it take to lay a egg to be fertie egg?

I have been told that it takes approximately three days from the first mating for the eggs to be fertile. And that a single mating can produce fertile eggs for up to 2-4 weeks.

Figuring about an egg a day, the first day egg would be far enough along the line have albumen or shell forming, the second day egg in line would have already fallen from the ovary and would likly not be receptive to sperm, so it would be that 3rd day egg with the first chance of getting fertilized.

Hens can store sperm for 2-4 weeks, as you can figure you'll be getting fertile eggs from a hen exposed to a rooster for about 3 weeks or so.
