When my girls are ready to go to the coop full time I'm supposed to keep them in there for 3-4 days. But is that in the roost area only or the whole tractor. They go in there during the day but I bring them in the house at night. They don't seem to want to go to the upper part of the tractor and when I got home after dark last night they were sleeping in the grass.
So... Just lock them in the roost for a few days or not?

Hey Aub. I would like to know how old your girls are. I would reccomend locking them in the roost area for a couple of days so they can get accustomed to going up to roost at night. I would say about four days.

The are about 6-7 weeks old now. It's been kind of chilly at night and the coop is not 100% done yet.
...Ok, maybe I just don't want them to grow up...

Oh goodness I didn't realize I had to lock them in the coop for 4 days before I let them roam the run.

I am excited to move mine out!!! Stinky stinky stinky and dusty and mine are 6 weeks on Monday
