When to cull coturnix males

I have 23 quail from my hatch i believe more than half are males should i cull them now at 8 weeks or wait until 12 weeks. Is there a meat difference worth the extra 4 weeks of feeding?

You might want to cull them now. The older they get, the tougher the meat. Meat is more tender before they reach sexual maturity.

But you can still cull them at 12 weeks. If you don't have the time now, go ahead and wait. But 8 weeks is better than 12 weeks.

Thanks buddy yeah im gonna do it tomorrow im home this week after hernia surgery past Thursday but you know how farmers are cant stay still lol. I thought i couldnt wait to hear their little crows but 15 at a time is really annoying lol thanks for the replys.
