When to get concerned about hen not laying

I have 4 hens that will be a year old in August - 3 BRs, 1 Americauna. They started laying in early January and have been pretty darn regular, putting out over 500 eggs so far. However, the A. hasn't laid an egg for 3 days (she lays green and the others lay brown eggs). She's not acting weird, no unusual poop that I can tell, nor is she showing signs of molting. They haven't really gone on strike due to the heat or anything, so .... it just made me wonder.

Is it about time for the first molt?

I don't have experience with actual americauna's but I do with EE and they don't tend to be reliable layers, at least not from my experience. I have one hen laying right now and I usually only get 1-2 a week from her on good weeks. It's not uncommon for her to go 2 weeks without laying. The EE that we had a while back was very similar in her laying habits.

Hope this helps

The EE's I've had, have for the most part been super producers. Not every one of them of course, but overall I've been very impressed with them. Probably has something to do with the different strains too. The few I had which were poor producers made excellent chicken soup though.

Thanks, everyone. And I should have said I *think* she's Americauna - she is very glossy black with a green sheen on the end of her feathers, lays green eggs. She was the first of the bunch to lay one, too, so maybe she just needs a break.
