When to give chicks ACV and Garlic

Quote:
So then if I purchased a bottle of garlic powder (like for cooking) and mixed it with yeast (my husband makes wine) wouldn't that be the same mixture? I am all for the natural preventative things!! I have been using ACV in my waterers and do notice they don't look "greenish" anymore. I also dumped a little in the ducks pool! How often do you coat the food with the oil mix?

Anyone else want to weigh in with their opinion or information? This is helpful.

In my reading fresh garlic is only good for 24 hours after cutting up as an antibiotic. Don't know IF that is right or not but am feeding it to mine and they love the stuff. I just cut it up in small pieces and they consume it in less than 5-10 minutes. I did a whole clove this morning, large one and it was gone in no time. lol
Mine are 3 months old now.

What is ACV ? N when do u give baby chicks garlic,? , what if all u have is minced garlic in a glass can n in the fridge---- why do u give garlic ?
ACV is apple cider vinegar and we use it with the mother in it. don't know when to give or to give garlic to baby chicks. I give it as a preventative for my grown chickens. some say they taste it in the eggs but I don't. Garlic needs to be fresh and once cut up will lose it's effectiveness after 24 hours for an antibiotic. I give my 16 chickens about 3-4 whole cloves I have peeled and cut up. You can google and find a video on how to peel a lot of garlic by shaking it in bowls to peel it. AWESOME idea!

OK I see where I gave mine some last year when they were 3 months old. NEED to get me a notepad and write all this down so I can remember since I am having some memory issues!
