Yum! I cant wait to try them... never had fresh peas..

I can tell you that growing up eat fresh peas in the garden til my belly burst has spoiled me from ever putting a boil pea in my mouth. Crunchy green sugar.

I planted ours about five weeks ago. They are a foot tall and climbing, but no flowers yet.

My chickens eat dry peas ground up like cracked corn. They don't care and they love it.

What kind of peas?

I used to save the vines as well and feed them to the chickens. Lasted for weeks in the fridge.

The young pea vines are also good in salads, but then you don't get as many peas. Pea flavor a whole lot sooner, though.
