When to introduce 1 wk old chicks to 3 wk old chicks

Hello y’all! I have some 3 wk old chicks from McMurray and some 1 wk old chicks I hatched. What is the best age to introduce them to each other and start housing them together? There’s only 4 youngsters that I hatched that will be staying and 30 chicks from McMurray.

Put them together right now. This minute. The window to successfully merge two age groups of chicks is under four weeks.

Expect the home crew to greet the new ones with a little peck on the heads and some display of assertiveness. Then they will usually very quickly set about playing and huddling together.
