When to introduce my new chicks to my week-olds...

i got freaked when i added my EE 2 day old EE's with my 2 week old rhode island reds but after a couple hours of one of the EE's thinking it was boss and doing pecking on all the others they seem fine.....they all in coop now and having a ball together.even found a couple of the little ones sitting on the top roost almost 5ft up.

When mine were a month old (my original 13) I got 7 more that were one week younger. I just threw them in with the first 13, and they were fine....I know mine weren't chicks, but from what I've heard they don't really start getting territorial until about 1.5-2 months old....I would make sure the chicks are steady and eating and drinking (to echo Miss Prissy) for maybe a few days, then throw them in and let them get used to each other. Even with mine at a month old they were fine with 7 new additions!!! I think your only worry would be the new chicks getting trampled, but your older ones are only a week old. Shouldn't be a problem.
