When to leave baby chicks for a day

I have 3 week old baby chicks. I have 8 of them. I have been invited for an overnight event this weekend at my parents lakehouse. Do you think I could leave for a day if I leave them with plenty of water and food? I have been taking the best of care of them. I change their water 3-4 times a day and we play with them etc. Am I being too worried. All in all I would probally be gone for Friday afternoon to Saturday afternoon/early evening.

As long as they have enough food and water to last that long they will be fine. Don't fret and go have a fun weekend at the lakehouse!

When I leave to go to work in the morning I take tall grass and tie it together and hang it down into the box .They pick at it all day .I figure keeps them busy .11 hours later they have it all picked except the part they can not reach .
The Chicks will be fine .go have a good time .
