Hello!

Question? We are planning to process our roo's, (they are dual purpose birds that are 8 weeks old now) will they be big enough to process about the time they start crowing? Should I be doing something different with them to get them to a better weight? A couple breeds I'm still not positive on their sex yet so separating ALL the roo's might be tricky?

This is all very new to me and I'm am trying to learn all that I can so any advice would be more than welcome

I would say process them as soon as there the size you want them to be, you know like fryer size or bigger.
Not sure about feed I would think higher protein for faster groth. I also believe in no pening them up in nothing to small. I give my meat birds decent size pen to run around in, I think it helps.
