You've seen the 4 little one's I've got. Currently, they are (guessing) 4 weeks old. They live in the garage in a coop we created for easy build and tear down. Worked for the chickens. Working-ish for the peas. They are flighty little things... We keep the lights on, door closed, and a fan on them. Garage temp is around 90-95. Anyways, we have a secure outdoor coop that is chain link, and chicken wire where the chickens roost at night. It is also well shaded. During the day, we let them out and they do their outdoor chicken thing. The coop has ample water, and a mister system in it. The outdoor chickens have fresh water through bubblers on the plants during the day, as well. The plan would be to bring them in when I put the chickens up, and feed them.

I have been contemplating moving the babies outside during the day. The concern I have is heat. It's supposed to be 110 outside today. In the coop, with the mister, it's roughly 95-100. The question is, let them outside in the coop, or leave them in the garage?

as far as i know they like it about 95 degrees till they're about 6 weeks age. so sounds like perfect weather for the babies. i did read you shouldn't free range them till about a year because they're still juveniles. anyone know for sure? i plan to free range ours in the spring.

I'd put them out, they love the room :) on hot days this summer we always took ours out and let them fly around, they loved it. a little hard to get them back inside tho...

loved your picts from the other forum, beautiful.
