When to start eating the eggs my newly laying hens are producing???

LOL!!! You guys are hilarious... i have four little ones so I will definitely tell them they were laid especially for them. Thanks for all the input. :0)

If they are still on chick starter with amprolium, it is still OK to eat the eggs. Amprolium stays in the gut.

I thought you were supposed to keep them on starter until they start laying. I use medicated I think it's manna pro. Mine are 15 weeks today. When do you switch them? What is a fart egg?

Switch them around 18 weeks, when they are close to laying age. A fart egg is an egg without a yolk, and it is usually a very tiny egg.

Here we use the starter until they are four weeks old, or until they run out of food after they are four weeks old. After that they are on grower, which is the same as starter just minus the meds at our feed store.
