Hi my chickens (Light Sussex and White Leghorns) are 10 weeks old. Our plan is to raise their off spring through incubation for meat. When are my flock going to be sexually viable for egg incubation and should we be incubating the eggs or should we wait for our birds to be say a year old before attempting to incubate any of their eggs! I know this to be advised for ducks?

It's normally recommended to wait until they are at least a year old. The eggs will be a normal size and there will be more a guarantee of fertility.

I just recently tried to hatch my first modern game bantam's eggs to see if they would grow up to be smaller chickens, because the eggs were tiny. It was a fail. Don't think I'll try again.
