When to start worming chickens?

Can anyone tell me when you're supposed to start worming your chickens and how often you're supposed to do it? Thanks!

we need a place on here for good books to buy. here goes the book i have Hobby Farms Chickens -Tending a Small-Scale Flock for Pleasure and Profit by Sue Weaver. in there she says to get several fecal samples twice a year and take it to the vet to have them check for worms to keep your chickens healthy. only then if the sample shows something should you use the worming medicine the vet prescribes. she says no over the counter stuff should be used for this.

everyone here should get this book it has every answer people on here ask. i look it up in my book all the time when i see the questions asked.
