When I got my new chicks (Rhode Island Reds), I also stopped at Blue Seal and bought a bag of chick feed. Three weeks later, they've been eating like crazy and I'm running low on the chick feed. What's next? Do I buy more chick feed and feed them that for how long? Or do I buy something else and if so, what?

You can switch to the "in between" pullet pellets as we called them at around two months of age... stick with the chick feed for now - yes, they do eat a whole heap!! Layer feed can start at around 18 weeks when they're just about ready to lay.

I have always fed chick feed until they are about to lay for the first time...then switch.
