When to switch from crumbles?

We have 4 week old RIR's and Barred Rock. We moved them to their new coop last week and set up a temporary run. They love it! We have been feeding them crumbles since they hatched. When do we switch the babies to the next food level? And what level is that?

The Purina start and grow can be fed until they are 18 weeks. Purina start and grown comes in either crumble or pellet form.
You could also start them on flock raiser soon instead of using start and grow.

I use medicated Starter crumbles up to 8 weeks.
Grower Crumbles or pellets from 8 weeks until you get your first egg.
Layer from first egg on.

If I use medicated Starter/Grower I feed it to the birds until I get my first egg then I switch over to Layer. If I have any Starter/Grower or Grower left over when I get my first egg I mix in the leftover feed with the Layer feed. I have never had any problems.
