Okay so I've heard mixed opinions on this topic with people saying you should take ducklings off of the chick starter anywhere from 3-10 weeks.
First of all, I know I'll probably get yelled at but I do use medicated chick starter (Amprolium!) and they are doing absolutely fine with it. I have no concerns about it harming them.
Second, I use a brand called Sprout (sold @ Fleet Farm) and on the bag it says the chick starter feed can be feed up until about 18 weeks, but this is for CHICKENS, correct? So when should I take my Rouens (3 wks.) off of the chick starter?
I only have 2 Rouens and they don't seem to eat as much as I expected but I went and bought a 50# bag anyways and is only roughly 1/3 gone(?), so I hope I will be able to have them on this a little while longer so I didn't end up wasting money...
Let me know. Thanks.
