When will a former broody start to lay again??

My Silkie pullet went broody after less than a month of laying. I was able to break her in just over a week. But she has not laid since. It has been almost 2 months! How long will it be before she starts to lay again?

PS. I do have plans for her come April. I will give her some golf balls to set on starting April 5th. I have 6 chicks arriving the week ofApril 25th. My plan is to slip them under her in the night

Mine started up when her babies were 8 weeks old.

I don't know when you break them though.

I had a broody bantam last July, she hatched her eggs around 8/13, and she just started laying again about 2-3 weeks ago (6 months after she hatched those eggs).

I hope she'll start laying any day now. It's been about 8 weeks. I hope my Silkie isn't like Abqferreira's hen!! Six months is a LONG time!! Thanks for the help
