I have six month old chickens..different breeds. They are laying their little eggs right now and have been since about 21-23 weeks old. My question is how long will it take for their eggs to be large eggs? I have buff orps, dominiques, e.e.'s, standard cochins. I appreciate some help here.

Mine took just over a month to go from pullet size eggs to the more normal range. From there it had to be close to a month before they where consistant in size every time.

Thank you so much! I was getting a bit bored with the small eggs that brought so much excitement when they first started to lay.

We gert plenty of large eggs from our mature chickens. We really enjoy the smaller eggs they fit perfectly in our egg poacher without spilling over.
