My 2 Welsummer and 2 Buckeye pullets I hatched out myself last April. So they are 11 months old. The combs on the Welsummers are red, and I keep expecting to see an egg, but no! I am very frustrated. It is getting warmer here now, and the days are getting longer, I don't know why they haven't started yet.

I also have 2 newer pullets (Speckled Sussex and Austrolorp) that are just 20 weeks old, so expecting an egg from them in about another month or so.

I got them from BuckeyeDave here on this forum. I had a 100% hatch rate with his eggs (from the viable ones that went in the bator). I butchered my roos and they were tasty and sold the other pullets. The two that I have left are my non-layers

Alright I'm one of those who is impatiently waiting for my RIR to start laying. This is my first time with chickens so I think I'm entitled to be impatient...haha. I go out several times a day on an Easter egg hunt but no luck....still waiting impatiently but love it!
