So I have 4 Buff Bramha's and 2 EE I got them in late Feb early March, and still no eggs. They free range all day plus have their pellets and oyster shells to snack on all day. Shouldn't they be laying by now ? I checked all the place's they love to hang out and came up empty handed. I just don't understand.

Did you get them as chicks or adults? If as adults how old were they?
If they were chicks in late Feb, you should be getting eggs over the next month or two as chickens usually start laying around 5-6 months.

I got them all as chicks, I was also wondering what should I do when they do start laying because they free range all day? How can I get them to lay in their coop ?

Do they sleep in their coop? As long as they consider the coop their safe place to sleep, they should start hanging out in the nest boxes when they're ready to start laying. It's usually when a hen is getting picked on or when one of the hens takes up the favorite nest box that they start looking for someplace else to lay.

I had some born feb 28 that weren't laying yet. Last week I put plastic Easter eggs in the nest boxes and I had 4 eggs the next day. Sometimes they just need a little guidance.

How many hours of daylight do you get? I'm not sure where you are from but if your not getting 16-17 hours of light I would put a light bulb on a timer to come on earlier in the morning.

They do not sleep in the coop they would rather sleep outside on it or on the fence then the coop. I have no idea why, They are up and outside even before I wake up at 7:30, Could they be stressed out to much by the rooster constantly trying to breed them ?

You may want to lock them in the coop a few nights to give them the idea of where they're supposed to be...If they don't go in the coop much, chances are they'll find a nice secluded spot to lay where they want to

That's exactly what I'm afraid of cause there are a lot of hiding places for them to go, and I believe I would never find the eggs.

So it looks like 2 of my pullets have laid eggs on the upper part of our deck in a flower pot. Looks like I'll be going on an egg hunt all day today to see where else they have laid !! My worst fear that they would lay eggs where i wouldn't be able to find them.
