When will I know if my broody is on fertile eggs?

My Easteregger has been sitting on eggs for four days the problem is that i have 14 hens and 1 roo i don't know if the eggs she is sitting on are fertile or not how do i tell i don't want her to not hatch eggs this is my first broody

You can candle the eggs to see if they are developing. Depending on the color, you might see something now. Day 7 is usually better though

Just to add, it’s best to only candle the eggs once throughout the whole process to prevent the bacteria from your hands smothering the shell.

I have never had broody hens but I know friends who have had broody hens! It will be so exciting and you’ll learn things you didnt know you could learn!!!
