When will my Chichens lay?? Help.

Hi Everyone,
I am new to the whole chicken thing... I am just wondering if you can tell me when my 6 laying hens will start to lay. We got them yesterday from our friend, they were laying for her since July, how long till they will lay with me? also how much chicken feed should I be feeding each day, they free range from 8am to 6pm. Thank you!

Chickens can be stressed by moving and may take several weeks before they begin laying again. You should keep the feeder full at all times, whether or not they are free ranging. They should also always have clean water available.
