when will my chickens do in the coop

i have 12 chickens i let them free rang and so i have to put them in the coop at night will they learn to go in the coop them selves

Keep them confined to the coop for a few days.

I started mine in the coop.. left them locked in for a week. then openned the door. It took a few days before they were ready to leave the coop. each day venturing further. Every night they go back to the coop on their own.
