when will my chickens lay eggs?

I have white wyndotte hens and buckeye hens aproxx what age will they start to lay ? . And what age will they start to go broody?

When they get darned good & ready

I had SLW that didn't start until they were about nine months. My silkies didn't lay until they were well over a year. I had two BR who laid at around three months. It just depends on the bird, I reckon.

As I understand it, though, it could be any time after about 20 weeks. Sadly, my chickens have no calendar and I doubt they could read one if they did. Maybe I should post one in the coop, though. Hmmmm....
