I have 9 terta tint and white leghorn pullets hatched in March. The TSC folks didn't know much about them, but after poking around here I was expecting them to start producing in August. However, my DH texts me today that I should try to find 3 more laying hens because he heard the pullets won't lay until spring. Help! I don't want more layers if our little girls will produce in the next few months.

Roughly 17-20 weeks you should have some laying. You may have a late bloomer that takes a bit longer. And no worries, they'll lay this year.

Happy Chooks is right, you will have eggs this summer, maybe in late July. [IMG]

Thanks guys! I was expecting eggs this summer, but some fellow got DH all worked up. If I did buy more then everyone starts laying we'd be inundated!
