When will she kick them out of the nest?

I have had 2 broodies at once. I leave them with the flock. I do keep a close eye on them. When they take babies out in run for first time I spend a lot of time out there watching to make sure my old bunch don't hurt them but a broody is like every other mother VERY protective over her babies. When chicks are first born I put them in a separate cage in coop for a couple days until they get stronger. Chickens have been raising babies longer than I have so I let broody handle all aspects of integrating and it has worked great for me. My flock is now at 45 and no problems between chicks and big babies.
