Well, I was almost out of grower so I mixed some layer in with it to make a big batch of FF.I only see one white leghorn and she looks far far away from being ready to lay.
As someone has already posted leghorns should begin laying at 16 to 20 weeks which is not that far down the road for a 15 week old pullet. Therefor I too must ask about what you are feeding your birds.
Layer often has a lower protein which slows down growth and maturity if you switch to it too soon. Chickens will continue to grow their first year and into the second, I'm not sure what switching to layer so young is the norm.Well, I was almost out of grower so I mixed some layer in with it to make a big batch of FF.
That's good. Your leghorn may be a slow developer. Is she for sure a leghorn? She could be a white rock too.My layer feed is 18 percent protein. One of my pulleys is laying, though.
