I put my ameraucana cockerel, french maran hen and EE hen together on Saturday. So about 3 days ago. Been together for about 3 1/2 days. Do you think the eggs are fertile? I haven’t see anything but I don’t regularly watch them. I’ve gotten an egg on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Would any of them be fertile??
TIA

If both sexes are of age the rooster will be trying to breed. All you have to do is watch them for about 15 to 20 minutes and I promise ya will see him trying.

The roo is 8 months, the hens are both 7 months. He’s been doing his little rooster dance buy them.

Crack one open, that is the only way you can be sure

The one on the left is the fertile one, hope this helps. It resembles a dart board apparently.

I agree with Mrs J.

I usually crack 2 to 3 eggs to be sure. But technically I don't need to cause my rooster is always jumping on one of the hens in front of me. Which gets a little annoying to see.

Can’t you buy some, next day delivery, just to be sure? My boy does the dance, and the rest 🤦‍♀️ but no fertile eggs yet.

Oh I wish. I have some silkie fertile eggs as a back up that has a very active roo fertilizing them. I would just like to see some olive eggers hatching!
