When will they look pretty?

Hi there I have what I was told was 5 month old. They are eating layer crumbles and some performance scratch mix from southern states.

Like the feathers around their beaks aren't in and their tail feathers are broken somewhat... I've only had them for 4 days so I'm not sure what to expect. I just want healthy looking babies.

They may not be as old as they thought....

It's also possible that they weren't well cared for. If that's the case they will get better it will just take some time and some high protein food. I had a few chickens like that and after a couple of months they were fine
