When they are ready. They may start after 20 weeks. It can be longer, much longer sometimes.

My EEer was the first of mine to lay and she was 19.6 days. So some time around week 20 give or take. My others were within a week or two.

I just got 12 ISA Browns- I hear they are sooner- like 15 or 16 weeks.

I was told 5-7 months...? By the way...I just got 4 Americaunas and 2 Buff Brahmas. Love how differently colored they are!

The hens i have that i got as chicks (3 RIR, 2 Doms, 2 Lackenvelders, 1 B'cup) started laying at 5-7 months. I was starting to wonder what i was doing wrong, but in two years i dont think the Doms have ever missed a day. With other Doms, Orps, & Brahmas, eggs are pouring in, but the other breeds will miss a day here and there.
