When will they start?

I got my hens back at the beginning of April. When do they normally start laying? Does the temperature (been hot here) have an affect on them starting to lay? I have 4 Black Australorps, 2 Red Orphingtons, and 2 Buff Orphingtons.

Anytime after 17 weeks, it could take 26 weeks or longer.

Is there anything I should be doing? They have grit, oyster shell, food and water as well as scratch feed. They have multiple nesting areas.

Well we have our first eggs... they are kinda small, but I thought I read that is normal for the beginning. Correct or no?

usually between 4 and 6 months old, the one thing to make sure of besides food rations are that they have plenty of water, during hot spells I either freeze corn and put in their water or add ice cubes

Correct.
It can take days to weeks to months for pullet eggs to get larger, be patient.
